The highlight of the season was the draft on 03 June. The Indians would draft a highschool player from New York, Manny Ramirez.

Albert Belle would be the teams leading hitter, with 28 HR and a 134 OPS+
The design of what would become Jacobs Field was announced.
In September, John Hart was promoted to General Manager.
In November, Greg Swindell was traded.
In December, Kenny Lofton was acquired from the Astros for Eddie Taubensee and Willie Blair.

1991 Topps is a 792-card set. Notable for being its 40th Anniversary, the 91 Topps set is renowned excellent photography and design. Topps also began to transition away from wax paper wrappers in favor of plastic "poly" packs -- similar to those used in 1991 Stadium Club. An estimated 4-5 million copies of each card were printed.
