The Indians would have the worst offense in the league, and would finish in one of the last two spots in the league for the 11th time in 12 season.

 

  • The highlight of the season happend on 08 May, when voters in Cuyahoga County approved a measure to help pay for a new downtown ballpark.

  • Sandy Alomar would go .290/.326/.418 with 9 HR, winning the AL Roy.

  • The best hitter on the team was Brook Jacoby, who posted a .293/.365/.427 with 14 HR

  • Candy Maldonado hit 33 HR, leading the team. He also had 134 K's in 590 at bats.

  • Candiotti (107 ERA+) and Bud Black (111 ERA+) were the teams leading starters.

  • Doug Jones had another good year as closer, with a 2.56 ERA/154 ERA+ and 43 saves.

The 1990 Topps set consists of 792 standard-sized baseball cards. The cards are printed on gray stock. The card fronts have a non-glossy finish and feature color photographs of players. The card borders are colored with a fading rotating pattern in various colors (orange, blue, red, green, and purple) which don't relate to the player's team colors. The photo itself has a colored frame which, more-or-less, relate to the team colors.
