The Indians would field a competent offensive team, with five regulars carrying a OPS+ of at least 114. They would be at or near the top of the AL in OBP, walks, and fewest K's. But the lack of pop (last in HR) hurt. Pitching was an issue, with the worst ERA and third worst WHIP in the league. They did strike out plenty of players (3rd in the AL), but also walked too many (4th in the AL). The 1980 Indains were solidly mediorce.
